Simulator Test: RZN HS-Tour Against Titleist Pro V1 (Garage Golf property)

Thanks to Garage Golf Channel for their excellent technical comparison among our RZN HS-Tour golf ball and the Titleist Pro V1. We hope you really enjoyed our golf balls. It’s a pleasure for us to share your video on our website and mention your channel on our social media platforms.

On the video they test out the new brand RZN HS-Tour Golf Ball meant for higher swing speed golfers against the Titliest Pro V1 using the Uneekor EYE XO View Software.
They bring Danny in to test out both balls using a 56 degree, 7 iron and driver. The RZN HS-Tour is priced roughly 15 dollars lower per box than the Titliest Pro V1 (according to the video comments).

There are four ball models—HS-Tour, MS-Tour, Distance and Speed—all have a core formulated from a special resin which the company says is both lighter and faster rebounding that rubber cores plus helps create a higher moment of inertia (MOI) for more stable flight. The inner mantle of the HS-Tour and mantle of the MS-Tour have a textured surface which the company says improves energy transfer.

The dimple pattern of each model includes 13,558 micro-dimples to reduce drag and improve aerodynamics. Sold only over the Internet on the RZN Golf website.

After on-the-course testing by myself and a fellow weekend warrior we agreed the two RZN Tour models were certainly worth a trial by those looking for less expensive alternatives to the Titleist Pro V1 with the RZN MS-Tour and the Pro V1x with the RZN HS-Tour.

The RZN brand has won over 50 tour events and continues to be an excellent choice in golf balls. We at GoGolfandTravel.com decided to give the two new models a test drive to see how they played. We tested the RZN Distance and MS-Tour balls to see if there really is a difference. We also used three other high-end golf balls to make some comparisons.

One of our first observations is the imprint of an alinement mark on the ball that keeps you from having to mark your ball for putting. The lines are large enough without having to squint or get too close to the ball for alining. It works nicely.

The RZN Distance ball has a special resin core for enhancing the distance of your shot whether it be with irons or woods.

When RZN Golf says the MS-Tour is a medium swing-speed three-piece ball, make sure you heed that advice. Going through the RZN online fitting system, it suggested the MS-Tour as my second option, and realistically, I should have gone with my intuition but I wanted to see how the recommendation worked out. If you have a faster swing speed, the MS-Tour will not have an optimal feel for you. Yes, the MS-Tour is in fact pretty soft and and plush around the greens, but it’s also soft off the tee. In my case, it felt too soft off the tee. That said, I have to imagine for lower to medium swing speeds, there would be a nice little pop in the feel with a comfortable and versatile compression.
